Getting It Done Now

I slipped out of the office at 10:15am, hopped in my car and drove down to mobile station near near by that I used before. I gave the chap my eyes and got my car inspected. Early, very early by most people’s standards I’m guessing. The sticker is set to expire this month, or more appropriately the end of this month but I don’t like to wait that long. I’d rather get it done before the deadline is in sight. I even went when I knew there wouldn’t be a line–not before work, nor after work but just when people are getting their morning work groove on. I was back in the office by 11am and now I feel good. Like, well, like I’ve got something done before everyone else. Perhaps this feeling is akin to part of my enjoyment of getting up early for the gym, bootcamp, morning run, or the Sunday newspaper at my favorite coffee shop. I feel like I’m ahead and I enjoy it.
